The striker Darwin Nunez from Liverpool is reportedly on Arsenal’s radar, as the London club urgently needs a new striker before the summer transfer window closes.

According to Fichajes, Darwin Nunez could become Arsenal’s next big signing in this summer transfer window. If successful, he would be the fourth new addition for the Gunners this summer, following David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori, and Mikel Merino. Arsenal is actively seeking to strengthen their attacking lineup before the transfer window ends.
Adding Nunez would rejuvenate Arsenal’s attack, especially as Gabriel Jesus is sidelined and Eddie Nketiah has moved to Crystal Palace. Mikel Arteta is currently having to temporarily deploy Kai Havertz in the striker role.

Previously, Arsenal had shown interest in Nunez when he was at Benfica, but they were outpaced by Liverpool in the summer transfer window of 2022. Currently, Nunez seems to lack a secure spot at Anfield following Liverpool’s appointment of Arne Slot, creating an opportunity for Arsenal.
After 2 rounds of the 2024/25 Premier League, Slot’s favored attacking trio is Jota, Diaz, and Salah, while Nunez has only played 18 minutes. Facing a potentially bleak future at the Merseyside club, Nunez might consider Arsenal’s offer, but Arsenal needs Liverpool’s approval first.
It is anticipated that Liverpool might let Nunez leave for around 73 million euros, which is significantly lower than the 100 million euros they originally paid to sign him from Benfica.
